WHO & WHY
Cuba and Cuban American related issues in the areas of politics, society and culture.
We seek to introduce a moderate, forward-thinking voice, from the heart of Miami, for Cuban Americans and Cubans in the diaspora, and to foster a healthy discussion of the issues, with a variety of opinions. We aim to represent the silent majority within our community who believe that a change of policy vis-a-vis Cuba is long overdue, and to counteract the influence of the hardliners on both sides. We act under the conviction that for Cuba to be free, we must first free our minds and actions from the tired narratives of the status quo.
All opinions are those of the authors. All honest discussion is encouraged, in the spirit of democracy. Personal attacks will not be published.
On Two Shores is edited and maintained by Alex Barreras. Other collaborators may or may not be identified by their names, at their choice. Their identities are known to the editor and he vouches for their integrity.
